Upcoming Events
Alright, MAD's participation in cheerleading for YOG torch relay is cancelled.
The rough schedule for the next month is as follows:

13/08/10, Friday. Voice Out!
31/08/10, Tuesday. Teacher's Day!
Rehearsal Dates:
06/08/10, Friday. Voice Out Rehearsal.
11/08/10, Wednesday. Teacher's Day Rehearsal.
27/08/10, Friday. Teacher's Day Rehearsal.
Other announcements:
- We're planning fusion items for Teacher's Day so do take the cue from Jia Han/Wei Cher & Jing Yao/ Congzhi respectively(:
- About suspension. Ms Chen or respective division heads should have informed you about it, it isn't very pleasant but as far as possible we'll try to see if we make alternative arrangements.
- For tickets for Voice Out! You can either get it from your CT reps or contact me for it
tickets are priced at $10, do come if you can!

Directions to Farewell
Hello!
Here are the directions to Farewell tmr! (:
Address: 2 Tampines St 73 (Function Room; go in by the main gate at the front and ask the guards to direct you there). The condo is orange so it's quite obvious from the main road :D
From school:
- Take bus to Newton MRT
- Take MRT to Tampines Interchange
- From Tampines Interchange, take 72 and alight at the 4th stop (which should be v near a coffeeshop)
- Somewhere ahead you'll see a construction site for UWCSEA; the condo's just opposite.
Alternatively, use gothere.sg to find the shortest route from wherever you're coming from (:

*cyphers/ karaoke/ table tennis/ swimming/ card games/ chatting/ gossiping/just hanging around... There’s also a game room with a pool table and some other games :)

Seniors Farewell Party, AMPlify! other updates :D
hi all,
Details for Farewell 2010 :D
(more information will be leaked to the j1s first in the middle of the week, but here goes -)
date: 24th July, Saturday
time: 3.00pm - 10.30pm
venue: 2 Tampines Street 73
dinner will be provided!
there will be space to dance!
however, there will not be a stayover. I promise we exhausted all options and deeply regret to say that we are unable to allow for the former. (nevertheless, there is always the option to camp at Macdonald's till daybreak.)
j1s, either the respective division heads or the whole bunch of us will speak to you really soon to tell you more!

Other good news:1. we replaced the speakers for RuA! courtesy of Ms Chen for full sponsorship of the new speakers, so the payment issue that i spoke of today is null (thankfully). thanks to daryl and jingyao for going down to Sim Lim to get it (and jingyao again, for he has to lug it to school on wednesday)
2. AMPlify!
Hiphop division is performing at AMPlify, Nanyang Auditorium on the 17th July. AMPlify is a fund raising event organised by group AMPowered. AMPowered is a Youth For Causes project which aims to raise awareness and funds for the Singapore Heart Foundation (SHF). We empower our beneficiaries from Singapore Heart Foundation with the power to voice out and empower the public with the power to give.

spoke to ms chen briefly over the phone about this. apparently as an extension of a school initiative to demonstrate support for YOG, Ms Chen has been tasked with the request for MAD to come up with a cheering dance.
about whether we will eventually do this, more details will be released along the way.
