This is a gathering where you get to meet and chill with all your friends and batchmates whom you've been spending so much time together with, till Dancenight ended.

How to get there:
Take the train to Tanah Merah MRT, after exiting control station, take the escalator down, then turn right and walk, then take the escalator up. There is a bus stop, so take bus 14 and alight at the 12th stop. Cross the road to Jln Remis which is on the right, and then turn into Jln Kupang, and walk till 26.

Buses available at that busstop: 12, 10, 14, 48, 43

Hello All MADders!

Transcendance is over and i bet many of you had dancenight hangovers just like i did!
Yeah, its quite unbelievable that we've come this far, and then it all jus ends like this.
SIGH...

But! " Don't be sad it's over, be glad that it happened" !

Everyone gave it their all, especially the last show. The audience felt it, and what is most important is that we rocked the stage while enjoying ourselves, dancing from our heart.
Many of us are missing the time we had together with our batchmates, training and drilling for dancenight, all the sweat and tears shed are now shelved only as memories.
Life's like that, theres a reason why the word "cherish" exist, so we'll all just have to take it as it come.
However! On a brighter note we left with Zero Regrets! =)


For J2s
This is our last show, but the experience is forever! YEAHHH!
The moment on stage compared to when we were in J1, was a whole new feeling.
I would like all of you to remember that particular moment when you were on stage.
What you saw, What you heard.
Was it an audi full of audience that was memorable to you? Or was it someone shouting your name? etc.
Most imptly, I want you all to remember that night we rocked the stage, we danced not for the audience, we danced for ourselves!
Once a MADder, always a MADder!
Further down the road, always remember that we were all from MAD and still are in MAD and Dancenight 2010- Transcendance - We were all Part of it. =)

J1s!
Good job for dancenight, it may not seem as significant to you right now, but im sure you guys will feel it nxt year! You still have 1 more year to go, so do Make it Count! =) Enjoy urself in MAD because this is where all our passion burns, and it will definitely be something you wont wanna leave behind after u graduate.

anyway, here's a short intro for those of you who don't know what it is!




THE BIG GROOVE 2010

Asia's most awaited hip-hop dance convention, The Big Groove (TBG) is back and promises to be bigger and more spectacular. Etch the date 11 July in your diaries!

TBG 2010 brings some of the world's most awarded and highly entertaining dance groups together on a stage. Themed “The Year of the Champions”, this year features crews who have featured in major dance championships.

Audiences can look forward to seeing the dazzling performances of Quest Crew, the winners of America's Best Dance Crew (Season 3), Wrecking Crew Orchestra (WCO) <---OMG! and Hilty and Bosch, winners of Japan Dance Delight and more in a grand showcase at Singapore Expo.

Local homegrown talents Joyce and the Boys, who won the inaugural Singapore Dance Delight and came in 3rd at the World Hip Hop Championships at Las Vegas, will also take the stage.

If you dream of performing like these dancers, learn techniques and pick up new skills at the specialty dance workshops held between 8 – 11 July. Overseas guest instructors such as Lee, who won a Special Award at Japan Dance Delight, and Dominique from WCO, will conduct the workshops.

TBG 2010 is one of the marquee events of the National Youth Council’s SHINE Youth Festival.

TBG 2010 is presented by SHINE and organized by O School Ltd.

Taking of minutes during all exco meetings
Keeping and handling of contacts within and outside of MAD
In charge of IT and designing stuff

Division heads/Assistant division heads
Organise all practices for division (both instructor and self practices)
Leads warm up
In charge of choreography for all performances (can delegate choreography to other division members)
Main mode of communication with instructor
Attendance taking and discpline
Welfare of division
Decision maker for division (taking up performances, when to have practices etc)

Elections procedure

Round 1: Speeches + Voting

All J1s are to report to the main room at 8.30am.
A speech will be required from all running for exco.
All J1s are to be present to listen to these speeches.

Voting will commence after the last speech has been made.
- Those not involved in elections are dismissed after voting.


Round 2: Wacky Intro + Choreography showcase

WACKY INTRO
1. All running for exco will have to bring an object that you think best
represents yourself and explain why. Humour is taken into account =)
2. Show us your hidden talent ( Anything but dance! Eg. Singing, juggling, Acting Cute? ) Impress us!

CHOREOGRAPHY SHOWCASE
A choreography showcase is required for all those running for division heads.
A 1min choreography will be required for people running for hiphop and modern division head/ asst division head. A 30 second choreography will be required for bboy division head/ asst division head.

-Those waiting for their turn in the holding room are not to watch the ongoing showcase.

Round 3: Interview

The interview will commence 1 hour after the choreography showcase.
Do Expect the Unexpected for this segment!



Do think about your reasons for joining exco before running.
WARNING: Don't join exco for superficial reasons such as portfolio, having the 'title' of division head and so on, because then you wldnt have ur heart and soul in it.
You might just end up regretting and of cos drag the entire EXCO and MAD down!
