heyyy people, theres a dance competition coming up somewhere in July/Aug, AFTER your blocks, so you guys can take a look at the details and see if you are interested(:

A dance competition is being organised in conjunction with Citibank-YMCA's Youth For Causes scheme.
All proceeds will go to the group's adopted charity - Very Special Arts Singapore.
We are looking for groups of 4-6 ppl, regardless of gender, and inclusive of all dance forms and genres.
Auditions will be held in mid-July. Further details will be given nearer to the date.
A LiveJournal account has been set up to coordinate information regarding the competition.
The address of the LJ site will be released soon.
All participants will be allotted CIP points and the top 10 groups will perform in a concert in August to determine the winner.
A secret celebrity judge will be invited and there are attractive prizes to be won!
Interested applicants can e-mail spiritus2008@gmail.com for enquiries.
An administration fee of $5 per group applies.

as for those who didn't make it in, as we said, don't be too disappointed. you can still serve MAD, love MAD and show your passion for dance and for the MADdancers even if you aren't in exco. :) we really appreciate you guys running for the posts too!
(it makes us old seniors proud of our darling little juniors :D)
never stop dancing, never lose the passion, and continue to trust in and support your new exco. :D they are the ones that are gonna "lead you guys to greater heights"! *soars* whoohoo.

as for seniors, (sigh) get back to those books and MUG. we old people have to mugmugmug now. :(:(:(

HELLO.
a friend of mine told me about this HipHop event her relatives organised, and it's scheduled to take place TOMORROW at Youth Park (that open area across the road from Orchard Cineleisure) at 6PM!

what's special about this event is that it's not only about HipHop Dance, it's more about the culture, i.e. the core elements of HipHop: Bboy, DJ-ing, and EMCEE-ing. (no graffiti though, i think) oh and there's beatboxing too!

basically, the event's gonna have lotsa PROS demo-ing and doing what they do best! LIVE.
there's pro DJs, EMCEEs, and this beatboxer who can sing and beatbox at the same time, and Felix will be there too, demo-ing Bboy!

yup so if you guys are free tomorrow evening and wanna learn more about the HipHop culture, do pop on down to Youth Park to watch these pros demo their hot stuff. :)

as for the rest of you who won't be free, happy mugging for SATS. *faints*
