Music and Dance Society (MAD) first started in 1974 with contemporary dance before diversifying to include other dance genres. At present, it comprises 3 divisions, namely Modern, Hip-hop, and Bboy (or breakdance).

HipHop event!

HELLO.
a friend of mine told me about this HipHop event her relatives organised, and it's scheduled to take place TOMORROW at Youth Park (that open area across the road from Orchard Cineleisure) at 6PM!

what's special about this event is that it's not only about HipHop Dance, it's more about the culture, i.e. the core elements of HipHop: Bboy, DJ-ing, and EMCEE-ing. (no graffiti though, i think) oh and there's beatboxing too!

basically, the event's gonna have lotsa PROS demo-ing and doing what they do best! LIVE.
there's pro DJs, EMCEEs, and this beatboxer who can sing and beatbox at the same time, and Felix will be there too, demo-ing Bboy!

yup so if you guys are free tomorrow evening and wanna learn more about the HipHop culture, do pop on down to Youth Park to watch these pros demo their hot stuff. :)

as for the rest of you who won't be free, happy mugging for SATS. *faints*
