About Us
Music and Dance Society (MAD) first started in 1974 with contemporary dance before diversifying to include other dance genres. At present, it comprises 3 divisions, namely Modern, Hip-hop, and Bboy (or breakdance).

heyyy people, theres a dance competition coming up somewhere in July/Aug, AFTER your blocks, so you guys can take a look at the details and see if you are interested(:

A dance competition is being organised in conjunction with Citibank-YMCA's Youth For Causes scheme.
All proceeds will go to the group's adopted charity - Very Special Arts Singapore.
We are looking for groups of 4-6 ppl, regardless of gender, and inclusive of all dance forms and genres.
Auditions will be held in mid-July. Further details will be given nearer to the date.
A LiveJournal account has been set up to coordinate information regarding the competition.
The address of the LJ site will be released soon.
All participants will be allotted CIP points and the top 10 groups will perform in a concert in August to determine the winner.
A secret celebrity judge will be invited and there are attractive prizes to be won!

An administration fee of $5 per group applies.
