hello hello. :D

yups like jiayi said, hiphop auds will be NEXT WEEK. :)

basically, i'm here to IMPLORE you HIPHOPPERS out there to please try to MAKE YOURSELF AVAILABLE ON THESE TWO DAYS. :) sharon pointed out that as we have a large turnout this year, we need quite a lot of manpower to properly manage the people. it'll also be good to have HipHoppers involved in our own auditions, so at least:
1) you all know what's happening and
2) can have an insight into the kind of juniors you'll be dancing with in the months to come. ;)

this is basically what you guys will be doing:
-crowd control :)
-CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. do pop in to auditions rooms to check out the juniors. offer your opinions to the judges. have a say in who becomes the next generation of hiphoppers!
-moral support! the juniors will all probably be really nervous, so do give them encouragements to ease their nerves!

all in all, we'd just like everyone to be involved. :) and aware of what's happening.

people from other divisions are warmly welcomed to come down and help out as well! :D together we can show our juniors just how MAD we can be. ;)


OH yes. HipHoppers. just in case you don't know, there'll be Hiphop self-prac/sharing sessions EVERY WEDNESDAY after school. no instructors will be around. it'll be just... us. :) this week we had one, but because the message wasn't passed well enough, only 5 people turned up. hope to see more of you guys there!

any comfortable shirt and LONGS/BERMS(whichever you feel more comfortable in). **try not to come in FBTs, cuz it's hard to do some steps, especially floorwork, and sometimes you'll just look weird doing some moves in shorts.

who's supposed to come
ALL hiphoppers are STRONGLY URGED to come, including 2nd div hiphoppers!
BBOYs and other non-hiphoppers are most welcome too!

what we do
basic training: combined warmups, isolations, groove practices
the 'program' varies from time to time. we aim to do things like collaborative choreos, maybe some sessionings, freestyle pracs and so on. :)

many of us think it's a great initiative thought up by some of our very own hoppers and we hope everyone can support this idea and be enthusiastic about it. such self-pracs can really help to push our standards beyond our current "school-dance-group-level" standings and help us appreciate true hiphop culture. it's hard to tell now, but if we put in enough effort, who knows what we could get out of this. :D
