Music and Dance Society (MAD) first started in 1974 with contemporary dance before diversifying to include other dance genres. At present, it comprises 3 divisions, namely Modern, Hip-hop, and Bboy (or breakdance).

hiphop workshop

hello dancers!
my apologies if you guys are confused over what's gg on for the hiphop workshop! it was supp to be held on 20 but there were some last minute changes. trying to arrange one session with sha and studio wu yutaki on the 29 dec, sat. hope you guys can keep that day free. will update all of you asap once i get the exact details.

moderners pls inform jiayee/ helen whether you will be gg if you have not done so! will be having bbq. rest of mad are welcomed but may have to pay. pls inform jiayee too.

then dance night! wohoo our big event next year! so sorry that this came so last minute! but basically we have 5 working comm, ticketing, fundraising, publicity, logistics, programme. Due to time constraints, we will be allocating I/Cs for the comm. the I/Cs will be a mix of madders n chin dancers. help to get to understand both ccas better n to promote better communication.
For each comm, i will write the no. of madders we need. pp who are interested to be part of the working com n are able to commit, pls call me or drop me a sms at 9819 6629

ticketing: 2 madders
fundraising: 4 madders
Publicity: 2 madders
logistics: 8 madders
programme: 3 madders

i know we are all passionate about dance night, but if there is overwhelming response, we may have to allocate pp whom we feel can best commit to the workscope.
like what jiayi mentioned previously, each div will have 2 items. one choreoed by instructor n one by your div head n coordinator. then we will have a batch item n alumni item. j1 may have one item, but we put that on hold first k.
and for performances next year, we may need auditioning. i know it may sound scary to some of us, but it's for the better of mad. sometimes we really need pp to judge the way we dance in order to improve. but erm.. of cos this will be confirmed at a later date. =)
