ms chen has pointed out several things she would like us to take note of and observe during pracs, so here we go. :)))

1. INFORMING COORDINATORS if you are unable to attend pracs.
don't wait for the coordinators to chase you people ah. take the initiative to explain to them beforehand if you are unable to turn up for certain pracs without them having to chase you. :) attendance is VERY IMPORTANT if you're serious about having MAD as a CCA. this is because ms chen says she will only accept dancers who have at least 80% attendance as official members of MAD. (only then will you get your CCA records)

coordinators will be in charge of taking attendance during pracs, so YES, attendance WILL be take. :)

2. ATTIRE.
okay this is a BIGBIG issue for us. firstly, we can only wear HWACHONG shirts and not outside shirts for our pracs. secondly, for guys, you have to bring shorts (either school or your own) cuz you can't dance in your college pants. no dancing in college uniform at all, for girls too. it's the rules... >,<

oh yeah. ms chen stresses that guys are NOT ALLOWED to go topless during pracs. XD regardless of how nicely toned your 6 pecs/8 pecs are. :)

3. PRACTICE VENUES.
we can't expect ms chen to help us book venues too last minute, so if we want to have informal unofficial pracs on our own, we have to plan WAY beforehand. ms chen wants at least ONE WEEK in advance. so we've to tell her one week before the practice date to book the venues for us.

practice days will soon be fixed. :) so no worries about booking venues in advance.

4. SWEARING.
ms chen doesn't want any swearing during pracs. period.

5. CURRICULM TIME.
the 'golden rule' is that curriculm time must be protected. rehearsals/performances that require us to skip lessons should not be considered, unless the person in charge writes a formal letter to our principal to ask for permission to let us off. so please don't use MAD performances to try and get out of lessons, though it may seem tempting at times. :)

6. last of all. ACADEMIC RESULTS.
ms chen has a record of all our block test scores and will be analysing it with our teachers in charge. *oh the horrors!!!* the bad news is that, after reviewing our performance, some dancers will be suspended from practices in the weeks to come. the good news is, if we show improvement and do well enough in the promos, we will be allowed to come back. :)

just to let you guys know, there should be no practices 2 weeks before promos. cuz we really need to be mugging during that time. > <

btw, we have a 3rd teacher in charge, besides ms chen and ms chin. her name is ms koh, and she teaches chem. :) be nice to her!! ^_^
