NEW EXCO STRUCTURE
yep we've changed our exco structure. the new positions available are now:

Core: President, Vicepresident, Secretary, Treasurer
Modern: Head of Modern, Modern Coordinator
Break: Head of Break, Break Coordinator
Hiphop: Head of Hiphop, Hiphop Coordinator

Difference between Head and Coordinator of each division:
- the Head will be somewhat similar to our current dance i/cs, involved in leading practices, sometimes choreographing.
- the Coordinator will take on a more organisational/administrative/secretarial role within that division, eg. collecting money.

still 10 posts available, exact job scope will be posted up here soon.

ELECTION PROCESS/TIMELINE


1. WINDOW PERIOD (now till 4june)
- Check MAD blog for information/updates, decide what posts you want to run for before 4 june

* everyone allowed to run for max 2 positions (must state 1st/2nd choice)
* those running for Head of Modern/Hiphop/Break must choreograph 8 eights to showcase on 11th june (election day)


2. GENERAL MTG 1: APPLICATION (4 june, mon)
- Fill up Application Form to run for exco
- Meeting compulsory for all Madders, will touch on other issues


2. GENERAL MTG 2: ELECTIONS DAY(11 june, mon) <-- date changed!

- SPEECH (1-2min, talk about your vision for MAD, why you are running for a particular post)

- VOTING (voting for all posts done by everyone including seniors and those running for posts. however for division head/coordinator, only those within that division can vote.)

- INTERVIEW (answer questions posted by entire 06 exco. those running for Head of Modern/Hiphop/Break showcase 8 eights of choreography)


*Voting results will be taken into consideration, but will not be the only basis of decision.
*Results announced at a later date
*Both GMs compulsory for all madders.

UPDATING MEMBERSHIP STATUS

1. New rule for those in more than one division:
you must choose ONE division as your MAIN division. (practices for your main division will be compulsory and prioritized above that of your second division.) have to decide and tell us by GM 1 on 4 june (mon)

2. Commitment level in MAD:
a serious warning to all members, based on your attitude/level of commitment/level of attendance, and maybe to a lesser extent, dance capabilities, we'll begin to rethink membership status both in terms of the number divisions you can be in, or even your entire involvement in MAD itself. our aim? more discipline in MAD, and not taking things for granted. so beware!


...Now go think about your main division + your 1st/2nd choice if you're running for exco.
