longg time no post! some updates for everyone

modern dance syf
after our open rehearsals last fri we had a long emotional talk about syf - how much we're putting in, and how much faith we have in ourselves. basically the seniors talked till we teared and ultimately some of the juniors joined in haha. but it was good tears shed, think everyone's really united and bonded now.

we're gonna come back feeling fulfilled on weds, i know. for ourselves, for dan, for MAD, and for the hiphop people from whom we sapped a lot of financial resources =x we'll do everyone proud! addoiladdoil

post-syf for modern dancers
j2 guys will be going over to hiphop (lovestoned), but probably still have to drop by from time to time because we'll still have to maintain our standards for our syf item.

j1 guys - i know there's a confusion now abt what items you're in, but don't worry we'll make sure you get smth besides syf, either in the j1 hiphop item, or in the last hiphopish part of the modernjazz item. listen out for updates

j1, j2 modern girls will just be with us all the way. practice dates/times/venues given on the calendar earlier may not be accurate, but for now take note that on the 30th april, after CSM, we'll have additional pract. and we've heard about the early May clashes with your tests, so we'll try to do something about that too.

for all in the modernjazz item, it'll REALLY be a mad rush, cuz we need a whole ITEM for nearly 30 ppl in a few wks, so we really need everyone's cooperation. hope the rest won't mind either if we ask for a swap in venues, cuz despite our constraints we've actually had to resort to booking the hall/pestudio (v unconducive for 30 ppl trying to learn a dance) cuz other venues were taken. but fingers crossed, and we'll just have to pia!

dance night publicity/ticket sales
fyi, your seniors will be making an announcement during morn assembly on 2nd May, and that's also the day that ticket sales will begin (booth + class order form). be prepared to stay back to help man the booths aft sch on some days!

the banner design is out as well, we'll probably do chalking/painting some time this week, because the banner has to be done by next week.

to the juniors
i know the 3 divisions in MAD are quite segregated now, but i guess with danceworks/syf/our large size, it's quite inevitable. but if you know it exists, don't just complain about it - do something about it and use the chances you have during dance night to try to know more people. don'tt beee shyyyyyy.

the seniors are gonna step down soon after dance night and it'll be your turn to take over MAD already, now a bigger size than it was before. so v impt to know everyone. one cca after all.

yea k that's it! jiayou everyone, and again i emphasize, always listen out for latest announcements here/from your seniors, please put in your all and cooperate, and we'll make dancenight '07 a success. =)
